A weekly play run through the Dead Cells card
Highest PEGI mark in the five
Dead Cells is NO. 4. On 16 October 2026 the Netherlands card priced it at €8.99. Stars were 4.8 from 135K reviews. Downloads were 1M+. The age mark was PEGI 16, the highest of the five cards, and the one I would not bury under the star line. Updated 12 Oct 2026, which made it the freshest update in the set on the day I looked. The developer line was PLAYDIGIOUS. The id is com.playdigious.deadcells.mobile.
Tags under the date included Action, Platformer, and Hack and slash. The one-line description on the card is Kill. Die. Learn. Repeat. I am quoting that because it is the store's sentence, and because it tells you the loop more plainly than I can.
Purchases after you have already paid
The header printed In-app purchases. It did not print Contains ads. Same caution as the other quiet headers: I am not converting silence into a guarantee. A paid install plus a purchase line is a different household conversation from a paid install with a written no-purchase note. Stardew Valley has the written note. Dead Cells has the purchase line. I want those two facts in separate sentences so they do not blur.
Play Pass appears on this card as well. Again, that is the store's offer, not a bundle I sell.
A gameplay frame, not the key art
The first gallery image I opened was a red poster for a Castlevania crossover, full of feature counts. I did not use it as the still on the card row. The prompt I follow for this desk is a gameplay frame. The still on the row is a side-on fight: platforms, a weapon swing, a map in the corner, on-screen controls. That image is still the store's file. I only chose which store file to show.
I am not describing biomes or weapon counts from the poster. Those numbers were marketing type on a splash, and treating them as a patch log would be sloppy. The update date is 12 Oct 2026. The contents of that update are not itemised in the header.
Where I stopped
No size, no version string, no Android requirement in the notes. The package id is enough to find the card again. Rank stays fourth because the link was fourth. 4.8 stars would have put it first if I had sorted, and I did not.
If you are filtering the homepage for paid installs, this row stays. If you filter for ads on the card, it drops, because that line was not printed. The filter is a view of the same facts, not a second opinion.
Google Play is where the €8.99 charge would happen. Not on this domain.
The package, on one line
com.playdigious.deadcells.mobile is long enough to break a narrow layout if I tuck it beside the icon. It sits in this paragraph instead. PLAYDIGIOUS is the shorter developer string from the same card. The Play link uses the package id. PEGI 16 stays in the facts line on the homepage so you do not have to open this note to see the age mark.
I passed over the red crossover poster. Feature counts on that poster, the new biomes and the new weapons, are advertising type. They may be true of a content pack. They were not a version row, and I will not launder them into one. The gameplay still I kept shows a fight on platforms, which matches the Action and Platformer tags without borrowing the poster's arithmetic.
Age mark before stars
4.8 is the highest average in the five. PEGI 16 is the strictest age mark in the five. I keep writing them as a pair because a homepage skim loves the star and skips the age line if I let it. The facts row on the card puts them in one wrapping line, with the price and the purchase flag. This note puts the age mark in a heading's neighbourhood so it is harder to miss.
The update on 12 Oct 2026 is four days before the check. Fresh does not mean I read the patch. It means the card's date was recent. The crossover poster I set aside was full of counts: biomes, monsters, weapons, outfits. Those counts may describe a pack that the 12 Oct update delivered. They may describe an older promotion the gallery still shows. I cannot tell from the header, so they stay off the facts line.
In-app purchases on a €8.99 install are the household question. I cannot tell you the price of those purchases. The card printed the category, not a menu of packs. A menu would be a different copy job, and I did not do it on this pass.
